What do we need?

We are looking for a person for the role of “Head of Procurement” to join our Operations team. The main purpose of this role is plan, coordinate and execute all processes related to direct and indirect procurement for the proper functioning of the entire company. Ensure the timely and constant supply of supplies, materials, equipment and services requested by the different areas of the company, ensuring the best commercial conditions (quality, price and delivery time).

Why do we need you?

• Lead policies and best practices implementation and associated governance (procedures and processes, management, control and reporting, KPIs) to ensure optimal administrative performance and efficient use of resources.
• Lead negotiations and tender/bid processes with national and international suppliers and service providers to establish and/or improve commercial conditions, reduce costs, obtain credit, and reduce delivery times.
• Participate in the development and strategy of new projects, contributing from a financial and strategic approach and establishing the proper service level agreements.
• Coordination and planning in partnership with the Strategy, Finance, Legal and other applicable functions of TCO analysis, make/buy recommendations, and partners' onboarding and termination activities.
• Management and coordination of PhageLab's contracts and relationships portfolio and segmentation for all procured goods and services to ensure a smooth and efficient operation throughout the company.

What knowledge, skills, and abilities are we looking for?

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering or related career.
• Experience of 5 years in purchasing or Procurement areas and 3 years leading work teams.
• Knowledge in ERP systems and management platforms.
• Negotiation with experience in BID processes.
• Previous experience in Total Cost Evaluation, cost build-up models, Supplier segmentation, Service Level Agreement and Asset Purchase Agreement.
• Advanced Microsoft Office (mainly Excel).
• Intermediate-advanced English.
• Fluent Portuges and Spanish is a must.
