The position provides analytical consultation for various assigned areas of Premier Bankcard.
Duties include compilation of application data, portfolio statistical data, and performance data from multiple sources to provide consultation/expert advice to management, as well as the following:
Engages in independent self-direction; must be able to fulfill the responsibilities of the position with little or no supervision; assesses priorities and changing needs and directs others accordingly.
Provides analytic information/assumptions that are accurate and based upon sound financial and/or statistical principles that impact overall business operations. Advanced statistical modeling required and analysis of data using analytical software and techniques.
Seek out business opportunities and provide recommendations to Management.
Identify new and innovative analytic techniques in support of business initiatives.
Provides mentoring and training including training curriculum for MIS staff.
Develop, cultivate, and assist with implementation of business improvements and opportunities.
Monitoring industry trends and advancements.
Consult with senior management to determine/identify analytical needs and business requirements.
Special analysis projects as assigned, primarily strategic in nature.
Consider legal, reputational, and compliance risk in conjunction with analyses and project in which they lead.
Engages other departments and resources as needed, including 3rd party resources.
Leads and/or mentors lower level analysts.
Requirements:
At least a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics/Science, Statistics, or related field and five years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience as a data or market strategy analyst
Specific skills and other requirements:
Position also requires at least five years with the following:
Developing digital marketing strategies (including social and display);
Demonstrable experience interpreting and advising on marketing strategy success metrics.
Creating meaningful data visualizations using tools including Google Analytics and Power BI.
Advanced statistical analysis including descriptive, inferential (particularly regression analysis), predictive, prescriptive, exploratory, and causal;
Using the following tools: SQL/SAS, Excel, and Power BI.
