Essential Functions

  • Seasonal Exhibit Attendants are responsible for daily guest entrance into the Seasonal experience, which includes: Dinos, Mining, Giraffe feeding adventure, and Butterflies (opening May).
  • Operate a cashless Point of Sale device.
  • Ensure that surrounding areas are clean.
  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment, including greeting, and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
  • Answer visitor questions and give directions, ensuring that Zoo guests receive assistance and accurate information as needed.
  • Maintain and protect all property.
  • Act swiftly in an emergency and take action.
  • Communicate with others immediately when responding to an incident or an emergency.
  • Relieving team members for breaks

Minimum Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
  • Must be at least 18 years or older.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work: Schedules may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and may provide up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
