What We Need

The Prescriber Adoption Coordinator will be responsible for efficiently handling a high volume of inbound calls and video walk-throughs in a fast-paced environment. The role involves using problem-solving skills and maintaining integrity when interacting with internal and external customers. Additionally, the Prescriber Adoption Coordinator must have a solid understanding of the insurance authorization, benefits & financial processes and be capable of explaining these fundamentals to referral sources and physicians as needed. This coordinator position assesses cost-effective delivery methods for DME orders, assists referral sources in finding alternative providers when services are not covered by insurance, and acts as a resource to resolve patient issues in collaboration with operational teams at Synapse Health to ensure optimal patient and referral source outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Effectively working through a high volume of inbound calls and video walk-throughs in a fast- paced environment.
  • Use problem solving skills, follow-up and integrity with internal and external customers.
  • Understands how the insurance authorization, benefits and financial process operates and can explain the basics to the referral source, physician, etc. when asked.
  • Understands issues related to the most cost-effective delivery method for DME ordered.
  • Assist referral sources in finding an alternative provider when service is not covered by insurance.
  • Acts as a resource to all external customers to facilitate resolution of Synapse Health patient issues in coordination with members of the operational teams within Synapse Health to assure optimal patient and referral source outcomes.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.

What You Have

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry in Sales and/or Marketing, medical office, clinic, care coordinator center or a centralized referral center.
  • Knowledge of billing, documentation and reimbursement guidelines/issues, including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Other Third Party and contracted payers.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR).
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn department and job-specific software systems.
  • Proficient in online ordering and electronic referral platforms.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills when problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
