This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Packaging/Federal Reserve Vault Section, DCF. As an Order Fulfillment Supervisor, you will supervise non-craft supervisors and provide 2nd line supervision of non-craft employees responsible for packaging, securing, storing, and shipment of finished goods - planning, directing, and monitoring the overall operation to ensure compliance with Safety, Security, Quality, Accountability and Division policies and procedures.

Duties

The BEP is currently in the process of having a new facility built in Beltsville, MD and expect to move to the new facility within the next 5 years. If selected, you may be sent and/or reassigned to the new Beltsville facility. By applying to this position, you understand this potential requirement.

As An Order Fulfillment Supervisor, You Will

  • Conduct management review of productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of operational processes and conduct 5s audit to ensure adherence to Lean Six Sigma processing.
  • Perform transactions and reconciliations utilizing the Bureau Enterprise Network (BEN) system and the Currency Ordering System (COS).
  • Continually monitor work for adherence to all documents and standards in place for designated supervised areas and assess the operational effectiveness of the quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform physical inventories of finished goods and supply items to ensure that physical counts are reconciled to the current system balances maintained in BEN and COS.
  • Prepare status reports to Managers and Chief, Office of Currency Manufacturing on production, daily balancing, and performance metrics.

Physical Requirements

The work requires physical exertion for long periods of time such as standing, walking, stooping, bending, heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., and carrying and pushing large heavy containers filled with bundles/bricks of currency. Some work may be performed on slippery, uneven and unsteady surfaces.
