Department Summary
The Division of Student Affairs (DSA) exists to support and further the mission of the University by developing, delivering, and advocating for services and programs that unite and support students’ academic and life pursuits. DSA is one of the largest divisions at the University of North Texas and includes Housing and Residence Life, Recreational Sports, Career Center, Office of the Dean of Students, Student Health & Wellness, Counseling & Testing, Student Activities, The Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life, Auxiliary Services, Dining, Center for Leadership & Service, Sustainability, Center for Leadership & Service, Substance Abuse Resource Center, Veteran Services, TRiO, and more.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing leadership to online student programming initiatives. The Student Services Coordinator working with the Online Student Experience is expected to implement engaging online experiences, ensuring that online students have access to all the tools and support they need to succeed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and two years' of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of elearning and instructional design methods
Ability to use a variety of technology tools to design asynchronous and synchronous learning experiences.

Job Duties
Effectively coordinate and implement programs, services, and resources for online students.
Use a variety of technology tools to design asynchronous and synchronous co-curricular learning experiences for online students.
Market programs and resources for online students through various channels including web, email, and social media.
Supervise a team consisting of one graduate assistant student and two online student ambassadors.
Collaborate with departments in the Division of Student Affairs to create online components to their programs.
Actively plans and works toward assessing student learning outcomes, and program satisfaction.
Conduct research on peer institutions and best practices related to online student success.
