Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians to ensure maintenance activities support the steel production and overall plant objectives.
- Oversee safety, environmental, preventive, and predictive maintenance goals in a heavy industrial facility.
- Demonstrate expertise in industrial machinery maintenance.
- Manage administrative tasks such as crew scheduling, reporting, safety meetings, and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of maintenance procedures.
- Fulfill any other assigned duties.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering OR 3 years of maintenance management experience in a heavy industrial setting.
- Prior experience in industrial/manufacturing mechanical & electrical maintenance.
- Ideally, two years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial facility, especially in a union environment.
- Proficiency in AC/DC motor control, drive packages, PLCs, troubleshooting, and team leadership.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, water systems, print reading, machine shop math, and computer-based maintenance systems.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, and PowerPoint.
- Must have current authorization to work full-time in the United States.
