Loan Administrator

Responsibilities/Job Duties

  • Gather, compile, and review supporting information to create loan packets and support the loan closing team
  • Ensure legal documents are accurate and comply with all requirements
  • Upload, submit, and distribute documents appropriately
  • Ensure image files are prepared for presentation in external and internal audits
  • Update tracking systems to ensure receipt of documents
  • Consider all potential risks and escalate to management as necessary
  • View reports assisting closers in obtaining proper closing documentation
  • Perform loan transaction analysis and resolve any compliance issues
  • Handle routine administration of loan accounts (including the setup of automatic loan payments, monitoring, and follow-ups)
  • Stay up to date with bank procedures, compliance training, and Federal and/or State credentials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • An associate degree in a related field preferred
  • 2 years' experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in identifying and reviewing financial documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of loan documentation, financial data, and insurance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
