Laboratory Supervisor

Description

ENGEO is a vibrant and growing company, there is a great opportunity to join our team in the Guam materials testing laboratory.

We are seeking an experienced Soil, Concrete, and Masonry Lab Supervisor with 3-5 years of related work experience. On-the-job training is available for the right candidate.

Position Overview

• Performs all soil and concrete laboratory tests, such as compaction curves, moisture/density, gradation, CBR, Marshall, and concrete/masonry compression testing.
• Effectively communicates test results to office and field personnel as well as client contacts.
• Assist professional staff in supplying and maintaining field equipment.
• Assists professional staff in materials storage and disposal.
• Prepares lab documents for internal client’s compression testing of concrete.
• Pick up soil and concrete samples from various project sites.
  
  

Requirements

Required Education:

• High School Diploma
  
  

Preferred Education/Experience

• Some college or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject matter (Soil, Earth Sciences, Geology, or Civil Engineering)
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a Geotechnical and Concrete/Masonry Laboratory
  
  

Candidate Criteria

• Must have a good driving record and be drug free
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and intermittent strenuous activity
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook computer applications.
• Willing to acquire and maintain certifications and able to follow proper procedures
• Able to perform accurate computations
• Have clear and concise verbal/written communication and computer skills

• Must effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, subcontractors, city agents, project managers - locally and in other regional offices- and internal support staff.

• Enjoy learning and sharing knowledge with others for the success of the company.
