Role Description:

The Logistics Coordinator will oversee all aspects of importing products from purchase orders through delivery to retailers. We are looking for a full-time associate with some existing business experience interested in expanding their knowledge and responsibilities within Operations. This role will work closely with the Product Manager, Warehouse, and Customer Service Teams. Successful candidates will take ownership of responsibilities to make sure processes stay on track and be unafraid to ask questions or escalate when necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop an understanding of supplier lead times, import requirements, freight transit, and order fulfillment processes.

·        Maintain accurate and complete records of products in planning documents/systems; including quantities in open POs, on the water, at port, receiving, and inventory.        

·        Gather, prepare, and deliver timely all import documents including supplier invoice, packing list, BOL, ISF, Arrival Notice to the appropriate import agent or authorities.

·        Support purchasing function by tracking product sales quantities and large customer forecasts. Proactively identify trends or potential shortages.

·        Prepare purchase orders for domestic and international suppliers for approval.

·        Enter approved purchase orders into the ERP software and send to suppliers as necessary.

·        Assist in container booking and escalating priority containers to ensure delivery timelines are kept.

·        Populate and update BOL/container information in container arrival schedules.

·        Review and match warehouse receiving reports against POs to reconcile orders in the ERP system.

·        Obtain and review all customer routing requirements, training warehouse and customer service personnel on key elements as necessary. Function as an escalation point and decision maker for issues.

·        Identify, obtain, and setup deconsolidation and/or drayage partners for all containers into non-Baltimore ports.

·        Review and respond to any claims or deductions related to order fulfillment, accuracy, or timeliness. Proactively identify and raise any issues or trends.

·        Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.

·        2 years experience in a full-time business role.

·        Strong English communication skills required. ability to read and communicate in Mandarin a plus.

·        Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

·        Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of ERP software.

·        Strong Excel skills, comfortable using X/VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables. 

·        Experience with import logistics or international purchasing preferred. 

·        Ability to read and communicate in Mandarin a plus.
