e-Commerce Analyst

We're currently seeking an e-Commerce Analyst who will play a key role in supporting data and reporting processes for the online business of The Bradford Exchange and will be responsible for running and enhancing core daily data and reporting processes, issuing high-visibility reports, and identifying trends and providing insights based on the KPIs from these reports. Additionally, this role will gain exposure to multiple levels of management by fulfilling ad-hoc analysis requests for upper-level management, marketers, and merchandisers while having significant learning and growth opportunities through a new and improved data environment.

How You Will Contribute

  • Overseeing core reporting processes and providing insights for business results and trends for the e-commerce division.
  • Learning and maintaining a strong understanding of the e-commerce division’s data environment and reporting schemas.
  • Collaborating with online marketing managers, merchandisers, and the accounting department to optimize and centralize special reports .
  • Writing and/or optimizing SQL queries to answer complex business questions and improve standard processes.
  • Identifying and communicating insights on our digital marketing attribution process.
  • Contribute ideas and design for new reports leveraging all tools within the reporting landscape.
  • Performing ad-hoc data analysis for various groups using a combination of reporting sources.
  • Exploring opportunities for more data visualization as part of the standard reporting suite.
  • Troubleshooting existing reporting processes and queries, as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance the reporting processes related to annual financial budgets and quarterly forecast templates in collaboration with marketing and accounting teams.
  • Utilizing digital reporting tools and software such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and internal SQL servers to enhance existing processes or create new reports.
  • Gathering supporting data for IT projects.

What You Will Bring And Skills That Excite Us

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Communications, or related field.
  • eCommerce experience in a professional or academic setting.
  • 1 or more years of professional experience in a related field (including internships).
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce business KPIs and operational framework.
  • Quantitative and curious mindset.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic understanding and experience with database software such as SQL Server, MS Access and any SQL management tool.
  • Basic understanding and experience with web analytics and BI software such as Google Analytics and Tableau.
  • Basic understanding of data language concepts and syntax such as T-SQL and VBA.
