Our client is a financial services company in Alpharetta, GA. They are looking to expand their team by hiring a Commercial Underwriter.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$75k – $100k plus Bonus

Position Overview

The Commercial Underwriter possesses analytical skills to identify opportunities and risks for prospective and existing clients. The ideal focus should be on the following industries: Marine, Vehicles, Powersports, Trailers, Manufactured Homes, Technology, Agriculture Construction, Equipment, and Outdoor Power Equipment.

Responsibilities Of The Commercial Underwriter

• Spread and complete an analysis of financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow.
• Generate key financial ratios and interpret metrics including margin, liquidity, leverage, profitability, efficiency, and debt coverage ratio.
• Write a detailed summation of borrowers’ financial performance, health, and profile.
• Identify and analyze borrower’s debt structure.
• Analyze implications of effective loan rate on borrowers’ cash flow and balance statement.
• Issue definitive credit decisions on commercial loans typically up to $10,000,000, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and established credit policies.
  
  

Qualifications For The Commercial Underwriter

• Experience analyzing financial statements.
• Commercial underwriting experience, or commercial credit analysis experience.
  
  

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in finance or a related field.
