Role: Commercial Manager
Location: Central London
We are currently in the process of hiring a Commercial Manager to provide day-to-day commercial support as a dedicated member of the Central Commercial Management team. The successful candidate will provide ad-hoc support on activities such as bids and contract negotiations and manage legal, financial and commercial risks and opportunities. The successful candidate will manage project timelines, deliver specific commercial policies and procedures and provide supply chain management across a wide range of projects and contract accounts on a global scale.
As a Commercial Manager, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:
Commercial Contract Management:
- Support account teams with the administration and delivery of the contract commercial provisions.
- Assist the account management teams to manage and deliver payment mechanisms, and KPIs, monitor scope creep and the delivery of required specifications to drive efficiencies and effective delivery on existing contracts.
- Provide administrative support on contract variations and change orders ensuring they are delivered effectively.
- Support account management teams to maintain risk & opportunity registers and document associated action plans.
- Updates the central contract register with commercial details for new and renewed contracts.
- Support the preparation of documentation and commercial reviews during bids and negotiations.
- Identify and escalate contract and commercial issues raised by account management teams to commercial leads.
- Administer commercial systems, processes and procedures including systems such as Adobe Sign system for coordinating approvals and signatures.
Commercial Pricing:
- Coordinating and managing Supplier quotations, supporting the analysis of the pricing returns and verification of the service scope to the Commercial Lead on a tender.
- Support the requirement for maintaining detailed benchmarking data.
- Support the team in preparing for tenders including the use of digital tools to populate internal and external pricing templates.
- Understand different commercial models and develop a basic knowledge of the tender process and different forms of contracts.
Essential criteria:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Business or other relevant subjects.
- Knowledge and understanding of the FM sector.
- Experience in administering contracts.
- Ability to advise on standard contract requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to recognise potential risks and opportunities.
- Analytical skills.
- Experience in administering processes.
This is a permanent role with WFH flexibility. The successful candidate would be given the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. This would be regular Monday – Friday working hours and has a salary band starting at £60,000.
