We are a highly successful integrated therapy service with a pooled budget across health and social care since 2013. Although based in East Sussex, we are employed by KCHFT which is an outstanding trust. We believe that the best health care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working together and in partnership with other teams to provide seamless care.

It has never been a more exciting time to join the NHS if you are interested in working with children and young people with Cerebral Palsy with the launch of CPIPS for Upper-limb surveillance.

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist with minimum of 4- years post qualification experience in paediatrics with an interest in complex physical disability; including Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, ABI, spinal injuries and children or young people with multiple needs including developmental delay and sensory processing difficulties.

The Integrated Care Team includes Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Integrated Therapy Assistants and Apprentices. The team provide therapy interventions into a range of special schools and in the community including clinic and home-visits.

The past year has seen the opening of a specialist centre for children with complex physical disability and associated medical needs requiring on site therapies in Eastbourne and long -term investment into schools in East Sussex.

The service has also expanded to meet the needs of children with SEMH and continues to evolve in response to the changing needs of children and young people living in East Sussex.

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative therapist with excellent organisational and leadership skills. The successful post-holder will work closely with B7 colleagues, Team Coordinator and Professional Lead OT to deliver high quality care with evidence-based practice, aspirational outcomes and child/parent engagement at the centre.

The post-holder will need to have knowledge of equipment prescription including seating and manual-handling. However, training is available for the right candidate including postural management training and upper-limb interventions including splinting and CPIPS. The ability to drive innovation and embrace change is essential to this role.
