Due to continuous growth across the immunology service, we are now looking to recruit a motivated and passionate Advanced Clinical Practitioner. We are willing to support candidates who have not completed their Masters in advanced clinical practice as a band 7 initially.
The Immunology Nursing team currently consists of Band 6 and 7 Clinical Nurse Specialists, research nurses and specialist nurses who manage designated cohorts of patients. We are an experienced, dynamic, and friendly team who always places the child first and at the centre of the care delivery. Across the team we provide expert care and support to children, young people, and families with a wide range of Primary Immune Deficiencies (PIDs). Our work is extremely rewarding, as we facilitate children’s positive healthcare experience and build meaningful relationships with families.
We are looking for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Immunology to lead the long term follow up/transition pathways to the next level! As the clinical expert who takes responsibility for children and young people accessing Immunology long term follow up care, you will be involved in the health assessment, initiation of treatment and monitoring for late effect post curative intervention (HSCT, gene therapy and thymus transplant), programmes and pathways. Our patients vary in complexity, and you will be an autonomous, proactive, and innovative leader who is always supporting and ensuring high-quality care to patients and families while developing an impressive repertoire of clinical and leadership skills. Patients are followed up in Immunology LTFU clinic until they reach the transition stage.
Leading and developing the transition process will be integral to the role. You will be supported by a named consultant and clinical supervisor and be working closely with the wider medical and nursing team in immunology.
If you have a real passion and compassion for service development, we would love to hear from you.
