JOB SUMMARY
Conduct market research and make recommendations on sourcing opportunities for assigned product brands or market sectors for TJX buyers and internal sourcing unit. The Sourcer can handle goods in all product categories. Conduct ongoing research on products in assigned sector. Collect information from existing suppliers on product availability and opportunities, price, orders and market trends. Attend trade shows to review market goods and trends.
Evaluate new opportunities in markets, competition for categories & products and develop relationships with vendors.
Monitor order from placement with vendor, sample distribution, to final quality inspection and shipping.
Accompany the buyer for the entire trip during the selection and negotiation process in order to facilitate the definition of the order.
Ensures vendors are onboarded properly and appropriately and potential orders are placed correctly, as well as production of goods meets established timetables & quality as well as Compliance standards.
EXPERIENCE
2- 4 years of experience as Sourcer or possibly in international retail companies with a focus on sourcing and/or buying is requested.
LANGUAGES
Portuguese proficient is a requirement
English proficient knowledge is a must
