IT Product Owner

Or our Milan offices we are searching for an IT Product owner, mainly focused on Core Products (shipping&fulfilment, print&marketing).

The IT Product Owner acts as an intermediary between the IT department and business functions, ensuring the fulfilment of business needs in terms of IT infrastructures and functions.

In the specific role, the IT Product Owner will manage the relations between the different business functions departments, the different team within the MBE WW IT department and the SW providers in regards

The IT Product Owner will report to the MBE WW IT Director.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

● demand activities and roadmap planning, including prioritization of continuous improvements requests coming from the network in regards to the perimeter under his/her responsibility

● To contribute to project planning preparation of all IT activities and projects follow-up.

● To gather all the requirements and inputs from the business, in order to analyze them and describe the SW solutions. This step can be carried out through meetings, brainstorming, observation and simulations

● To relate with all the stakeholders, including franchisee partners and customers, end users and IT Team

● To document the process design, and the functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. performances, failure management, support escalation processes, etc.), including diagrams and mock-ups that can help describing or understanding the project.

● To identify and support the SW partners in gathering the fulfilment of needs, contributing to the master agreement definition and negotiation of the offer;

● To support the testing and deployment phases, including preparation of manuals for end users, planning of preliminaries

● To prepare the first definition of budget needs and planning, together with the Marketing Product Managers and the IT Director; then act in respect of the approved budget and contribute to monitor project KPI.

Skills and experiences:

● Master Degree in Information Technology or equivalent (Engineering or Business Administration)

● Excellent mastery of written and spoken English;

● 3-4 years’ experience in a similar position within a retail company or a consulting company with a clear track record in IT transformation project (new application introduction or application transformation);

● Good knowledge of the main retail and supply-chain processes

● Strong understanding of data and performance/operation metrics: ability to critically analyse data and build solutions on selected insights.

● Basic knowledge of web service architecture (SOAP/REST API) is a plus

● General understanding of PHP/JavaScript/HTML/ CSS, and MySQL is a plus

● Excellent functional analysis experience;

● Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently;

● Structured approach, process oriented, multi-tasking and ability to prioritize;

● Willing to learn showing enthusiasm for technology with a proactive attitude

● Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to interact professionally in a multi-cultural environment with a great team work attitude;

● Advanced to expert Excel user and good grasp of data analysis.
