The Build Engineer (DevOps) specializing in Ansible and Microsoft Azure & PowerShell plays a crucial role in the organization by ensuring the streamlined deployment, configuration, and automation of infrastructure and software across the development lifecycle. This role is essential in maintaining the stability, scalability, and security of the cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible playbooks and PowerShell for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.
Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Implement and maintain configuration management across all environments, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry best practices.
Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues, providing timely resolution to minimize impact on development and production environments.
Participate in architectural design and planning discussions to ensure that infrastructure and deployment solutions meet performance and scalability requirements.
Conduct regular performance and security assessments, implementing improvements and best practices as needed.
Document build processes, procedures, and configurations to maintain a reliable and up-to-date knowledge base.
Collaborate with development teams to improve build and release processes, tooling, and efficiency.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance the build engineering capabilities within the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in DevOps practices, specializing in Ansible, Microsoft Azure, and PowerShell.
Demonstrated expertise in automating infrastructure and software deployment using Ansible and PowerShell scripting.
Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience managing cloud resources on Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
Experience in containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a cloud-based environment.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement and learning.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Certifications in Microsoft Azure, DevOps, or related fields are a plus.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with a keen attention to detail and quality.
Responsibilities
Execute Provisioning, Decommission, upsell procedures defined in SAP SPC system
Shall trouble shoot and fix basic SPC Provisioning procedure issues
Responsible for testing provisioning procedure, Jenkins jobs changes and validate the changes.
Able to troubleshoot Jenkins jobs failures and follow instructions given in KBAs to fix the issues.
Prepare and update Provisioning Wiki content with the latest changes.
Responsible to install Application servers, Hana DBs on Linux / GCP stacks using Ansible Playbooks
Responsible to validate SAP Provisioning entitlements, Fulfillment Requests, SPC execution requests and initiate correspondence with sales, technical teams.
Maintain Tenant information in repositories – Version Info, CLD, SPC

Linux Administration – Experienced in installing Apache tomcat servers, User access (Sudo, AD/LDAP, SSH, SSO), Package management, bash env.
