Job Overview

As a Human Resources Analyst, you play a pivotal role in integrating EMAPTA’s and its clients’ business strategies with people management practices. Serving as a consultant and strategic partner to management, clients, and employees, you provide day-to-day leadership to ensure the successful delivery of People & Culture plans.


Insider's Guide:

Employment Type: Indefinite term type contract

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CO time

Work Arrangement: Onsite, Bogotá/Medellin


Fulfillment Focus:

Business Partnership

  • Builds strong, trusted, and influential relationships with stakeholders - clients, employees, Department and Division Heads by being responsive, prompt, and collaborative in all dealings.
  • Provides guidance to management on HR policies and ensures adherence to Colombian labor laws, staying updated with changes and implementing necessary policy updates.

Employee Relations, Engagement, and Retention

  • Provides appropriate feedback and resolution to employee concerns promptly.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Conducts regular touch points with employees through 1-on-1s, small group meetings, and FGDs, consolidating results into a report with insights and action items.

Performance Management

  • Provides performance management guidance to clients, employees, and People Managers through performance interventions such as coaching, counseling, and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Career Management and Learning and Development

  • Identifies and grows future leaders and runs the required programs and training initiatives to help the leaders succeed.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual training needs in collaboration with the Learning and Development Team.

Employee Discipline

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Consults HR Leaders on decisions and appropriate courses of action, as needed or whenever required.
  • Manages and resolves end-to-end complex discipline-related issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.


Pinnacle Proficiency: Unleashing Your Expertise for Success

  • English proficiency: C1 level
  • 3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Proficiency in Colombian labor laws
  • Experience implementing retention and engagement programs
  • Expertise in staff performance management
  • Proficiency in career management and implementing learning and development programs
  • Experience in managing employee discipline requests
