The Role:

Our client, a medical device manufacturer with multiple products on the market, is looking for a VP of Manufacturing to aid in their growing operations in the greater Dallas area.


Must Haves:

  • Work with the executive team to set the company’s strategic direction and operational strategies.
  • Implement best practices to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Drive innovation in manufacturing to improve product quality and production efficiency.
  • Develop capital expenditure strategies with engineering staff to enhance revenue and cost savings.
  • Champion continuous improvement of business systems and processes for better efficiency and scalability.
  • Build and lead an operations team, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance work culture.
  • Develop departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively to improve profitability and reduce waste.
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee supply chain operations, including production planning, procurement, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
  • Optimize warehousing operations for timely product delivery.
  • Oversee maintenance activities for equipment reliability and facility compliance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Quality for new product development.
  • Plan facility expansion or improvement projects to support company growth.


Responsibilities:

  • BS in Engineering or similar discipline.
  • 15 years of proven progressive leadership within the medical device industry.
  • Extensive experience in FDA Quality System Regulations, EU Medical Device Regulations, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance and scalability.
  • Significant experience with computerized manufacturing management systems, methods, and an in-depth knowledge of computer-based ERP systems, controls, and capabilities.


This is an onsite role in TX.
