We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Sustainable Design Specialist to join our architectural team. This role is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of sustainable architecture and design. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing energy and environmental analysis for planning, architecture and interior projects as well as contributing to marketing pursuits, consulting services and managing environmental certification of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support of sustainable design strategies and solutions for a variety of projects, from concept to completion.
  • Utilize energy efficiency modeling and sustainable project management tools to optimize building performance and sustainability.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure sustainability goals are integrated into all stages of the design process.
  • Conduct energy analysis using software such as EnergyPlus, eQuest, EnergyPro, and IES to inform design decisions.
  • Provide LEED consulting and documentation services, and manage the LEED certification process.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Rhino, SketchUp, and Lumion software to create high-quality architectural designs and visualizations.
  • Stay updated on the latest sustainability trends, technologies, and regulations, and incorporate these into design practices.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet sustainability objectives and expectations.
  • Present design proposals and sustainability strategies to clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Environmental Design, Engineering, Architecture or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainable design, energy efficiency modeling, and sustainable project management. (college/intern experience is okay)
  • LEED AP certification is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Rhino, SketchUp, and Lumion software is required.
  • Experience with energy analysis software such as EnergyPlus, eQuest, EnergyPro, and IES is required.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design principles, technologies, and materials.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex design concepts and strategies.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to creating environmentally responsible and innovative design solutions.
