POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position):

Reporting into the Manager, Site Merchandising, the Senior eCommerce Merchandising Specialist will optimize online merchandising to grow sales and maximize margin & inventory turn in alignment with overall eCommerce strategies. They will use their knowledge of our products and merchandising best practices to take our overall eCommerce strategy and incorporate that into the online experience, including the visual display of the category online (e.g., category, family, and product pages) and category-specific taxonomy, sorting, and site navigation. Along with categorization set-up, this role will also be responsible for optimizing site search in effort to reduce null search rate and help set-up and execute on DTC promotions. They will work closely with the Senior eCommerce Merchant to own organizing the front end of the site. This role will specifically work on site setup for the Sportstyle and apparel side of the business. The ideal candidate should be upbeat, extremely proactive, flexible, and work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Organizational Relationships

  • Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees and outside vendors.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage the front-end experience for the Sportstyle and apparel brands; ensuring the correct products are in the right categories, and launching new styles launch on time.
  • Translate overall eCommerce strategy into an online experience; including decisions that improve product page views, conversion, and bringing innovative ideas to the site.
  • Attend all promotion related meetings and work with the Senior eCommerce Merchant to ensure all upcoming promotions are set-up correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Manage on site search, search synonyms, and search mapping looking for opportunities to increase conversion/and sales while also decreasing null search rate.
  • Draft a storytelling plan for the Sportstyle and Releases page for the upcoming quarter.
  • Work closely with Sportstyle and Buying teams to make sure all upcoming collaborations launch on time.
  • Build landing pages and merchandise categories for new weekly emails.
  • Analyze online sales data to understand the online customer and behaviors.
  • Draft plans for the site navigation in the upcoming quarter based on data, and then execute on the set up.

Education/Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of eCommerce and/or Merchandising experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or Marketing highly desirable, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, training.
  • Past experiences using Salesforce Commerce Cloud and/or Salsify.
  • Experience using Google Analytics or other analytical programs.
  • Experience using the Microsoft Applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, etc.
