Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities for the Registered Nurse role include the following:

• Performs the initial assessment visit
• Regularly reevaluates the client needs, and coordinates the necessary services
• Initiates the Plan of Care and necessary revisions and updates to the plan of care and the care plan
• Provides services requiring specialized nursing skill and initiates appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures
• Informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the client condition and needs
• Counsels the client and family/caregivers in meeting their needs
• Prepares clinical and progress notes
• Supervises and teaches other nursing personnel and home health aides as appropriate
• Participates in continuing education programs

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid New York State RN license
• Must have updated medicals/vaccinations or be willing to obtain
• Completed drug screen or completed Habituation Form
