Quality Control Assistant

- Material sampling and routine laboratory testing
- Set up, clean, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment including scales, ovens, sieves, and other lab equipment
- Work around industrial equipment and machinery to obtain materials samples from production facilities such as conveyors and stockpiles
- Record test results on standardized forms and computer data entry
- Participate as a team member and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required; technical degree preferred
- Must have basic math skills
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Experience in a construction environment encouraged
- Must be able to work in a rock quarry environment which may include dust, noise and varying outside temperatures both hot and cold
- Must be able to climb, lift, move (various objects 50lbs), carry, bend, reach, kneel, stoop, and twist
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and computer skills
- Proactive in safety and works well in a team environment
- MSHA training will be provided and required prior to performing work duties
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
- Medical card does not exempt candidate from drug screen
