Reporting to the President, the Production Planner’s role is to assist in the scheduling of production orders and the follow up to ensure timely delivery of parts. This will involve dealing with both in-house and outsourced manufacturing resources. Complementary to this the Production Planner will maintain current information on what is needed and what has been produced so as to provide reports to the Production Floor Supervisor in order to assist in prioritizing production runs. The overall goal of the Production Planner is to ensure smooth operations throughout the production and distribution life of a conversion product kit.
Position Responsibilities
Issue Work Orders including the part’s drawings where applicable and open PO’s as appropriate and in line with the company’s procedures and policy.
Enter data into the company’s system in a timely manner.
Produce reports to monitor material and parts availability in line with orders from Aeronautical Engineers Inc. including delivery schedules.
Establish production priorities with the President and in cooperation with the Production Floor Supervisor.
Act as liaison for contacts with vendors / third party manufacturers. Keep track of delivery timings and follow up prior to the expected date of delivery to ensure they meet the deadline.
Monitor production rates and raw material prices; check inventories.
Assist Production Floor Supervisor with production planning and the provision of manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.
Maintain archives in an orderly and easy to find manner and ensure all revisions of drawings are up to date.
Support and assist the CEO and President on an as needed basis.

Education
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree, preferably Bachelor’s.
Experience
Preferably three or more years of related experience.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Excellent organizer;
Good communicator.
