DRURY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LANDSCAPE DIVISION ST. LOUIS, MO Drury Development/Drury Hotels is a family owned and oriented business that builds/owns/and operates hotels and other commercial properties throughout the United States. The company just celebrated its 50th year in operation and continues to expand at a phenomenal rate. My team provides in-house landscape/horticultural services for all the Drury owned hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, and other properties in the greater St. Louis Metro area and several cities within a 200 mile radius (approximately 30 properties). Regular duties are mostly horticultural and vary according to the season. Job Description As Follows: Pruning, weed control, mulching, turf fertilizer/weed control applications, irrigation system repair/maintenance, leaf removal, planting and maintenance of large numbers of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annual flowers, limited snow removal, installation of Christmas decorations, construction of hardscape projects (such as retaining walls, dry creeks, etc..), and bio-basin maintenance. In addition, over the last 22 years, my team has been involved in every renovation, and new construction project Drury Development has completed in STL and surrounding areas.

Please note that our duties do not involve mowing, which is contracted. Minimal overnight travel is required during which team members receive a complementary room at a Drury Inn with free breakfast and 5:30 "kick-back" and meal allowance. All travel between the shop and any work site is done in a company provided vehicle.

We offer full time, year-round work and competitive wages with some overtime, annual performance reviews, service bonuses, and extensive benefits such as numerous paid holidays, vacation, medical/dental insurance, 401K.

Our shop is located in St. John, and our work hours are regularly Monday through Friday, 8 -9 hours per day, with very few weekends (allowing team members to spend time with their families, work on side jobs, etc..), Personally, I have worked in the Saint Louis area landscape industry for about 40 years, and I know this is a good employment opportunity with a stable and growing company.

Also, unlike many commercial landscape contractors, we work year-round, so we do not require our team members to work 60 hours/week in summer and then have no work available in winter (unless it snows).

In addition, since we complete a wide variety of seasonally appropriate tasks, it is my opinion that this helps keep the team members from being bored by doing the same thing over and over.
