General Description

We are looking for a working manager to lead a team of developers. Examples of the types of projects for this team include: CRM implementation, Marketing Automation integration, order processing integration with suppliers, integration between our ERP and customer portal, mobile application development, ERP and HRIS integration, and many more. In addition to leading software development and integration projects, this team is responsible for developing custom customer driven solutions.

Specific Responsibilities

Management & Leadership

  • Lead a team of developers, mentoring, developing, and coaching.
  • Lead the team through the SCRUM process including all of the SCRUM ceremonies.
  • Oversee project tracking and documentation systems.
  • Implement and follow change management best practices.

Business Systems Support and Maintenance

  • Work collaboratively with the Infrastructure Team to ensure that our ERP System (IFS), Oracle and SQL Databases, and other applications perform optimally with minimal if any avoidable down-time.
  • Assist the BA team by building complete technical solutions that support or business systems, as well as lead in advanced troubleshooting.

Integration and Software Development

  • Extend, enhance, and improve functionality and usability of our business systems through the development of customizations and integrations.
  • Document requirements, test scenarios, and developed solutions.
  • Develop according to best practices to ensure system performance, uptime, and ease of support.
  • Develop and implement training plans and training systems.
  • Drive efficiency through CICD best practices, including but not limited to: full regression testing, direct deployment models, and scripted environment tear downs/builds.

Project Management

  • Work with leadership to set priorities and then plan and manage projects to deliver results on-time and on-budget.
  • Provide regular reporting on project execution status, service desk performance, system up-time, and risk management.


Required Competencies

  • Ability to lead and manage a team in a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to write, test, and troubleshoot software code.
  • Ability to support databases including data management and analysis.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Be able to look at business requirements and develop an application architecture and solution to meet those requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization from front-line end users to executive management as well as external customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to execute projects from start to finish with minimal supervision

Required Education and Experience

  • 5 plus years of overall IT experience with experience in software development. In any of the following languages: C#, C , Java, JavaScript, Node, React
  • Extensive experience in REST architectures and software architecture designs.
  • Prior experience in leading a team using SCRUM or participating as an active SCRUM team member for at least 2 years.
  • Strong expertise in javascript coding demonstrated through either React or NodeJS
  • Experience developing software applications and enhancements.
  • 5 plus years developing integrations to complex enterprise level software’s.
  • Good understanding of software architecture and coding best practices.
  • Database administration and support experience.
  • Experience developing and supporting integrations using APIs, web-services, flat files, and other technologies.
  • Experience with cloud computing/SaaS, AWS, Azure and Google.
  • Experience developing and maintaining knowledge bases, network diagrams, checklists and support documentation
  • System Integration Experience using Web-Services and/or APIs

Preferred Experience/Competencies

  • Experience with IFS as an ERP System
  • Experience with both Oracle and SQL databases
  • Experience with Mulesoft as an Integration Platform
  • Experience with PowerBI, SSIS, or other reporting and dashboarding systems
  • Understanding of various OT/IT system architecture to potentially support hosted environments
  • Azure or AWS certificates
  • Experience working on software projects in manufacturing industries
