The exercise development support MAGTF Naval Fires position supports the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC), Twentynine Palms CA. and provides exercise development support to MCTOG-led courses and exercises, as well as exercises in which MCTOG participates to include Mountain, Integrated and MAGTF warfighting exercises (MTX, MWX). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate courses in support of MCTOG formal schools.

Analyze, develop, validate, and document exercise design products for the training audience to meet current training objectives for service specific, joint, and combined exercises across the Range of Military Operations (ROMO).

Provide support for formal learning programs and Battle Staff Training.

MAGTF Fires Integration SME. Develop, coordinate, synchronize, and manage MSELs during training exercise execution.

Review relevant studies, briefs, and documents to identify major C5I gaps that should be considered for USMC and USN integration of fires.

Provide, review and develop products to support integration of USMC and Naval fires. Participate in the development of US Navy and USMC effort to develop a maritime fires process for future exercise development that could be added to the Composite Warfare Commander/Sea Combatant Commander taking into consideration CNO Guidance/ Force Development.

Design, develop, and adapt sound tactical adversary plans for each specified exercise.

Facilitate adversary debriefs and after-action reviews immediately following exercises MCTOG lead or participated in.

Conduct exercises across live, virtual, constructive (LVC) training environment.

Generate realistic, challenging, and adaptive adversaries (threat emulation) as defined by current Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff instruction.

Submit key insights, lessons learned, and best practices to the Trends Reversal, Reinforcement Program manager via established formats and procedures following each exercise. EDUCATION

Career Level School At The Appropriate Level. EXPERIENCE

Experience working in O6 or higher level FSCC/FECC.

Experience writing orders for an O6 or higher-level staff.

Demonstrated understanding of the roles and responsibilities and duties of Composite Warfare Commander (CWC) and Sea Combat Commander (SCC).

Experience with USMC, Navy, and Joint targeting methodologies for by deliberate and dynamic targeting. CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the Joint operational command level.

Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint. Provides exercise design expertise to all areas of the MCTOG program. WORKING CONDITIONS

Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus. SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS

Occasional travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required. Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider. SECURITY CLEARANCE

A Secret clearance is required for this position.
