Role Overview

We're in search of a senior-level Creative Director with a background in copywriting and a knack for innovative, quirky, and irreverent style to lead creative concepting for Gaming, Sports, Tech, and Lifestyle brand projects. The person in this role should be a consumer of pop culture and tracks trends in advertising and creative tools, especially new technology and AI. The Creative Director will collaborate with creatives across various mediums to ideate and inspire teams to develop campaigns and long-term retainer relationships with new and existing clients executed across static/print/OOH, digital/social platforms, custom content, activations, and immersive experiences.

This individual presents concepts that emotionally move both teams and clients alike, focusing on effective ideas that ideally also garner industry award recognition. They thrive on collaboration, mentorship, and have the ability to grow and inspire junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptualization and development of innovative and engaging creative ideas and campaigns tailored to the unique needs of Entertainment, Tech, Gaming, and Lifestyle brands.
  • Guide the development of compelling pitch presentations and proposals, showcasing agency capabilities and creative solutions to clients.
  • Working with the strategy team, develop creative platforms and big ideas that align with client briefs and KPIs
  • Oversee and/or lead the creation of compelling copy across various mediums, maintaining brand voice and tone while pushing creative boundaries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives, brand guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Partner with team leads to ensure output meets high standards of quality, creativity, and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural shifts, integrating insights into creative strategies.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and creative direction to a team of designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals.

Requirements (Skills & Experience)

  • 8-10 years of experience in a creative leadership role within an advertising or marketing agency, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful campaigns for Entertainment, Tech, Gaming, and Lifestyle brands.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of the Entertainment, Tech, Gaming, and Lifestyle industries.
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the creative process and workflow.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and emerging technologies.

Performance Expectations

  • By day 30, gain a clear understanding of company capabilities, team roles, and responsibilities and effectively integrate into ongoing projects.
  • By day 60, successfully lead and complete a first proposal or pitch while participating in ongoing projects.
  • By day 90, oversee the launch of a new project or campaign and participate in a capabilities presentation by leading the concept development service section.
