BIM/CAD Technician - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

Freese and Nichols is seeking an experienced BIM/CAD Technician to join our Denver, CO office. This role will create 3D CAD models of engineering designs and client deliverables related to water/wastewater infrastructure including pipelines and pumpstations.

  • Utilizes FNI CAD Standards and follows instruction per direction from PM, Designers and Lead CAD Staff.
  • Interprets sketches and markups to incorporate into sheets.
  • Sets up new projects in accordance with FNI CAD standards.
  • Places and manages files according to CAD Standards and prepares final drawings.
  • Utilizes and performs quality control check of surveyor data.
  • Prepares accurate and complete sets of drawings which involve multiple views and detail drawings with minimal input from Designer or Engineer.
  • Coordinates with other disciplines throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Provides basic training and guidance to CAD Staff and EIT’s and interns.
  • Performs quality control on deliverables and provides Continuous Improvement input.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience performing CAD functions in a 3D environment
  • Expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Associate degree in CAD, preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $60,500 - $80,421 and is dependent on candidate's qualifications as compared to minimum and preferred requirements. Exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay at a straight-time hourly rate for any hours over forty (40) hours per week. Employees are eligible for annual bonuses and amounts are determined by company profitability and growth, and for employees at higher compensation grades, group and personal performance are also considered.
