As Associate Art Director, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the Hanna Andersson brand identity visually throughout multi channel execution. The Associate Art Director will conceptualize, develop, implement, and maintain the brand identity through all channels. This person will report into the Senior Creative Director and work closely with Site, Email and Social channel owners.

Essential Duties

  • Develop seasonal and promotional digital campaign style guides in collaboration with Sr. Creative Director
  • Lead projects through the entire design process; from concept to finished assets of site, email and social assets. (This role will also be hands on and pitch in to design weekly cadence)
  • Concepts and art direct styled flat photography with in-house photo studio
  • Supports Sr. Creative Director with preproduction for on-figure photo shoots and liaison with Producer to ensure milestones are met pre shoot
  • Works with Sr. Creative Director to concept and provide on set art direction for video shoots and manage editing process. Attend and art direct video at on-figure shoots as needed (travel required)
  • Manage and inspire a team of 3 designers and uphold brand consistency and quality across projects by providing art direction and thoughtful critique
  • Partner with copywriters to ensure brand creative and voice are strategically aligned
  • Work closely with brand marketing team and channel owners and to ensure campaigns and initiatives achieve objectives
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Design, Merchandising, and eCommerce to ensure consistent storytelling across all channels
  • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results without compromising on creativity
  • Present to internal cross-functional partners and leadership in Creative Reviews and Go To Market Reviews
  • Lead the visual brand design for digital storytelling in web, brand emails, and social media


Requirements

  • 6 years’ experience of art direction and/or graphic design in retail industry
  • Leadership experience managing and motivating creatives
  • A compelling portfolio of work with elevated brand expression and demonstration of strong typography, layout, and design skills
  • Still life & On-Figure photo shoot experience
  • Experience with eCommerce, organic and paid social and print
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic design or Web design (or an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience)
  • Excellent creative and conceptualization skills
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability articulate rationale and evoke excitement with your recommendations
  • Superior project management skills, ability to prioritize, coordinate, communicate and adhere to strict production schedules
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud programs, including but not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
  • Demonstrated success in managing through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to adapt to changing market conditions

This listed base salary range is a good faith representation of the base salary range for this position. However, location, unique skills and/or exceptional experience may result in an offer outside of the stated range.
