Job Summary/Basic Function
The Psychology Department of Concordia College, Moorhead, MN is seeking applicants for a full-time, limited-term Assistant Professor of Psychology with a position start date of August 2024. A Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is preferred; ABD may be considered. The teaching load is three (3) four-credit courses or equivalent per semester, and the candidate would teach courses in psychopathology and foundational courses including general psychology. The candidate would also teach additional courses suited to their area of expertise, such as courses on substance use disorders, drugs and behavior, personality psychology, health psychology, or social justice-related courses.
Concordia College is dedicated to excellence in undergraduate education. Demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching and development of an active research program with undergraduates are essential. In addition to teaching and research, faculty are involved with departmental service as well as participating on college-wide committees. Faculty are committed to student success and advise our students both formally and informally throughout the year regarding courses as well as post-graduation vocational decisions. Other duties may arise based upon department needs.
The Psychology Department includes seven full-time faculty committed to student learning, professional accomplishment, and collegiality.
