Strategic Director – Integrated Adults and Social Care Services

Salary: £115,309 to £130,954

Following the appointment of Dale Owens as our new Chief Executive we now have an exciting opportunity to become our Strategic Lead for adult social care delivery and all age strategic social care commissioning. As a member of our corporate management team, you’ll also make a key contribution to the overall leadership, delivery, and strategic resource management of the Council.

You’ll be joining at us at an interesting and challenging time as we aim to deliver transformational positive changes for the benefit of the Borough and residents, within our medium-term financial strategy and a growing demand for services. You’ll lead on the effective management of a budget of over £130 million per annum and inspire a workforce of circa 700 skilled individuals. As a creative and transformational leader, you’ll spearhead initiatives that not only enhance service delivery for our residents, but also ensure financial sustainability.

Working closely with our councillors and leadership colleagues, as a highly credible and skilled practitioner, you’ll have considerable experience of delivering in the adult care or integrated health and care environment. With demonstrable continuing professional development, you’ll bring a strong understanding of the national policy context for adult social care, health and care system dynamics, service reform, and transformational change.
