Are you an Occupational Therapist with an interest and experience in supporting young people's mental health within the community?
Sussex CAMHS (Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist into an exciting opportunity within the Sussex wide CHYPS Home Treatment Team. The focus of this role is to work within a service providing evidence-based assessment and intervention for young people needing additional support within the community.
We are hugely interested to hear from applicants who are interested in developing these skills and can demonstrate how their core competencies could be adapted and honed with the support of additional training (provided by the trust such as new to CAMHS training).
The ability to travel is essential for this post.
The CHYPS Home Treatment Team is a friendly innovative and exciting team working with high levels of demand and complexity.
Your Main Duties Will Involve
Offering evidence based occupational functional assessment of a young person's mental health needs to inform a shared formulation around the young person's presenting difficulties and needs to recommend suitable therapeutic intervention.
Managing & working with a caseload of young people with mental health difficulties within the multi-disciplinary team.
Supporting the professional development of Occupational Therapy within the service and supporting the knowledge and expertise of junior staff within the team and within the wider Sussex CAMHS services.
