Ensuring an uninterrupted logistics execution by actively managing transport capacity, delivery priorities, and planning.
Actively having contact with carriers to ensure an optimal delivery performance towards SABIC’s customers.
Analyzing order/shipment interruptions and proactively identifying bottlenecks to initiate improvement actions (e.g., addressing port and transport restrictions to maintain uninterrupted key performance indicators).
Implementing financial damage control measures to minimize interruptions for SABIC and its customers.
Proactively identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities, such as optimizing parcel combinations or reducing waiting times/costs.
Complexity Of Problem Solving
Managing logistic processes across Strategic Business Units (SBUs) like Polymers/Specialties (commodity/specialty).
Overseeing logistics across multiple sites and decentralized supply points, involving different transport modalities, customer segments, service level differentiations, priority setting, and sales offices.
Managing optimal supply patterns to customers by leveraging the advantages of different modalities and supply points.
Balancing supportive/steering activities and the challenger role in meeting transport-planning requirements.
Maintaining a harmonious balance between the interests of multiple stakeholders.
Addressing high safety risks associated with road or intermodal transport
Operating in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, SABIC is seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree, a keen interest in supply chain, and excellent English language skills. Familiarity with SAP and knowledge of logistic principles would be advantageous. Additionally, you should possess the following competencies:
