One of our automotive clients in North York, ON is looking for a MES Engineer/Integrators for their facility.

Shift - Day

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design and Implementation:
    • Design and develop MES solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of the manufacturing processes.
    • Configure and customize MES software to align with production requirements.
    • Lead the implementation of MES systems, including hardware and software integration.
  • Integration and Development:
    • Integrate MES with other enterprise systems such as ERP, SCADA, and PLCs.
    • Develop and maintain interfaces between MES and production equipment.
    • Ensure data integrity and synchronization across different systems.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage MES implementation projects from conception through deployment.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, production, quality, and engineering.
    • Create project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Technical Support and Maintenance:
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for MES systems.
    • Conduct regular system maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
    • Train end-users on MES functionalities and best practices.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Develop and generate reports and dashboards to monitor production performance.
    • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure MES solutions comply with industry standards and regulations.
    • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of changes and updates to the MES system.
Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MES implementation and integration within a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with MES software such as Wonderware, Siemens, Rockwell, or similar platforms.
    • Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
