We will foster programs in the areas of basic, translational, mechanistic, and population research.

Position Summary

Develop and promote OAAA communications, outreach messaging and materials including (but not limited to) social media messaging, digital newsletters, and website news and content.

Organize monthly webinar series including preparing webinar registration pages, scheduling and preparing speakers, managing live webinar conduct, uploading recorded webinars to website and social media for broad dissemination.

Schedule meetings for various task groups, stakeholder groups, team members, and other relevant groups; prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and video recordings.

Assist team members in developing and implementing mission-specific projects in support of public health education and promotion

Contribute to administrative operations in support of preparing or submitting invoices, developing progress reports, preparing grant applications, developing meeting materials for stakeholders, communicating with vendors and project advisors.

Assist with research activities, including but not limited to: tasks related to the submission and record-keeping of IRBs, conducting literature reviews or internet scans, programming surveys, data analysis, resource development, and presentation preparation.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience

Ability to interact competently and professionally with a variety of individuals including research study participants, the general public, and professionals in a variety of fields.

Experience and knowledge of issues related to diversity, cultural competency, and health literacy.

Ability to work independently with some self-direction but also to function as part of a highly motivated team focused on research and public health education.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience

Bilingual in Spanish

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge and understanding of the social media landscape.
