American Association of Physicists in Medicine

Medical Physicist

Given an expansion of clinical services, Rhode Island Hospital, the primary academic affiliate of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is seeking a qualified applicant at the rank of instructor/assistant professor. The Department of Radiation Oncology has a three-fold mission: providing the highest quality and safest care to patients, educating the next generation of clinicians and medical physicists, and advancing medicine through research. The department chair and medical physics division chief seek to further enhance a tightly bound premier physics group of 11 academically-minded medical physicists. With our CAMPEP-accredited medical physics residency program, CAMPEP-accredited medical physics graduate program, and Physician residency program, the physics faculty are expected to participate in teaching and research.

We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified academically-minded physicist who possesses a strong work ethic, creativity, and desire for both career growth and mentorship. Recent graduates from CAMPEP-accredited residency programs are encouraged to apply. Protected time and limited start-up research support is available. Meeting attendance and society dues are provided to all physics faculty. For more information, please email ( [email protected] ) and include a CV as well as three named references.
