As a Local Operations & Dispatcher, you’ll establish strong customer relationships as you work with your FTL team to secure profitable freight and meet revenue and cost goals. Your primary focus will be to provide custom transportation solutions to new and existing customers in the LTL and FTL markets to build business volume. This position requires a team player with specific skills in dispatch, sales, relationship management, and customer service skills. You must be enthusiastic, eager to be part of a growing logistics company, and aspire for excellence. The successful candidate must possess great customer service skills, 3 years in the trucking industry with a minimum of 2 years of dispatch experience, and a hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
Key Responsibilities
Opening shift.
Prepare drivers' schedules.
Oversee the transfer of inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse.
Ensure shipments are timely and efficiently coordinated and maintain inventory accuracy.
Maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers.
Build strong customer relationships.
Any other duties as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Transportation/Logistics preferred,
In-depth knowledge of dispatching process and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of the local freeways and major roads.
Adept in mathematics.
Ability to identify problems and bring to resolution.
Ability to think quickly and adapt to multiple situations.
Ability to independently identify and prioritize matters of varied importance.
