Hands-on experience with configuration of various Cisco devices; ASR, CSR, N9K, Catalyst… SW: IOS XE, IOS XR, Nexus.
UCSC Installation and configuration.
Familiarity of VMWare ESXi/vSphere; VM deploy/migration/deletion/cluster creation.
Basic networking knowledge is a must; IPv4/6 addressing/configuration.
Must be on-site 5 days a week 9-5pm working across campus between 4 labs.
Capable of lifting, rack, and stack of hardware devices.
Familiar with installation and configuration of Linux Redhat and Ubuntu; setting mgmt. IP and route configurations, able to run commands to install packages, and troubleshoot Linux problems with less guidance from team.
Familiarity of 3rd party vendor devices is a plus; Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson, Juniper.
Great troubleshooting skills. Candidate will use past experience to formulate solutions to lab issues.
Would like to have someone who can plan ways to improve current lab conditions/practices.
This candidate will be the point of contact for all incoming hardware deliveries with shipping/warehouse team, scheduler, and installer.
