Key Responsibilities

Associate Engineer
As a journey-level professional engineer, you will handle a full range of engineering responsibilities. You will work with minimal supervision, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of operational procedures and policies within your unit. There may be opportunities to supervise technical staff.
Associate Civil/Traffic Engineer
At this journey registered level, you must be a registered professional engineer in the State of California. You will independently review, approve, and stamp plans. This position differs from Senior Civil Engineer and Senior Traffic Engineer, which involve managing complex projects and supervising staff.
Supervision
Receive direction from higher-level staff.
May supervise technical staff directly.
