Executive Director of Emergency Services Operations

Overview

The Administrative Director of Emergency Services Department is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, overseeing service, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the main Emergency Department and two Free-Standing Emergency Departments (FSEDs).
• Manage a team including a director for the main ED, two managers for the main ED, and one manager overseeing both FSEDs.
• Oversee FSED volume in Grand Prairie (50-55 patients/day) and Red Oak (25 patients/day).
• Ensure comprehensive stroke care and maintain accreditation for chest pain treatment.
• Manage a 54-bed ER facility with a Trauma Level 2 designation and a daily patient volume of 230-250.
  
  

Reporting Structure

• Supervise approximately 125 full-time employees with 4 direct reports.
• Report to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO).
• Maintain positive physician engagement and high employee engagement, despite current challenges in patient experience.
  
  

Engagement And Growth

• Work on improving patient experience, addressing turnover challenges, and rebuilding the nursing team through internships and growth opportunities within the organization.
• Lead in ambulance volume among HCA EDs in Texas, specifically in Arlington and surrounding areas.
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

• Salary Range: Competitive salary range from $133,491 to $180,000 based on candidate experience.
• Annual Bonus: Potential for up to 15%, with last year's added multiplier increasing it to 22.5%, based on hospital performance.
• Sign-On and Relocation: Available on a case-by-case basis pending HR approval.
