Responsibilities
As Corporate Accounting Manager, and reporting to the Director of Accounting and Reporting, you will be responsible for assisting in all areas of Finance of CIBT Companies located globally:
Assisting with the preparation of the year-end Financial accounts and Audit in accordance with local and US GAAP.
Coordinate and supervise daily and month end accounting tasks (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, travel & expense reimbursement, intercompany, fixed assets, cash management, account reconciliations, etc.) ensuring finance processes and finance policies are adhered to.
Manage monthly P&L review across multiple entities to identify and understand variances to budget and prior month. Prepare business commentaries for submission to head office and MD.
Treasury management – Prepare short term cash flow forecasting and ensuring consistency with the long-term plan.
Prepare US GAAP technical accounting memo’s
Assisting on preparation of annual budget, P&L & cash flow forecasts as appropriate, with specific focus on The Americas
Assist with initiatives to drive efficiencies and improve processes
Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as required.
Education And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
At least 6 years post qualification experience, ideally with experience of industry and practice background
2 years supervisory experience required
Expert knowledge of local reporting standard and experience working in US GAAP environment
Experience with Exact and Blackline desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be fluent English and Spanish speaking
Proven hands-on approach, pro-active in nature and happy to take ownership of issues and resolves
High level of ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision
Previous experience with dealing with international internal / external stakeholders would be preferable
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Working Conditions and Location:
Remote position, but candidate must be located near our headquarters in McLean, VA.
Hybrid schedule, flexibility—expected to come into the office when required by CEO/CFO or during audits.
Office environment: exposure to computer screens, working closely with others in an open office environment.
