Climate Science Web Developer

Riverside Technology, Inc. (Riverside), a leading engineering and consulting firm providing scientific analysis, scientific applications development, systems engineering and GIS services, is seeking a Climate Science Web Developer for the Monitoring Branch of the Climate Science and Services Division (CSSD) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA's) National Environmental Satellite and Data Information Services (NESDIS) National Centers for Environmental Information's (NCEI).

Requirements

This position involves integrating regional climate information into an existing operational monitoring system, and improving the consistency of CSSD's branding across spatial scales. The work will entail a variety of tasks to include, but not limited to, development and operations of websites, web applications, and other operational software.

Required Skills

  • Background in Atmospheric, Environmental, or Climatological science
  • Fluency in JavaScript, PHP, Python, Linux, and html


Desired Skills

  • Experience with climatological data
  • Experience working in cloud environments
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) concepts and tools
