Logistics Manager
Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager - E-commerce Network Planning will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the logistics network to ensure efficient and cost-effective last mile delivery for our e-commerce operations. This role involves strategic planning, collaboration with third-party logistics providers, and the integration of advanced technologies to enhance our delivery network.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Network Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans for the last mile delivery network to support e-commerce growth.
Analyze market trends, customer demands, and logistics data to optimize the delivery network.
Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Management:
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure high service levels.
Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with 3PLs to achieve cost-effective and reliable delivery solutions.
Route Optimization:
Utilize advanced routing software and data analytics to optimize delivery routes.
Continuously monitor and refine delivery routes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Technology Integration:
Implement and manage logistics technology solutions to streamline network planning and operations.
Ensure integration of e-commerce platforms with logistics systems for seamless order processing and tracking.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the last mile delivery network.
Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions to address any issues.
Cost Management:
Develop and manage budgets for network planning and last mile logistics operations.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining high service standards.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and customer service to ensure alignment on logistics strategies and objectives.
Coordinate with warehouse managers and fulfillment centers to ensure efficient order processing and delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics network planning, supply chain management, or e-commerce logistics.
Proven experience in managing third-party logistics providers and optimizing delivery networks.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using routing software and logistics technology.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in last mile logistics and e-commerce.
