Overview

The SAP Basis role is vital to our organization as it is responsible for ensuring the smooth performance and operation of our SAP systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and security of our SAP infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems and related systems
  • Monitor system performance and health
  • Manage SAP security and user administration
  • Perform system upgrades and patches
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP systems
  • Coordinate with other teams for system integration and data migration
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
  • Optimize system and database performance
  • Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures
  • Participate in system testing and implementation of new solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience as an SAP Basis administrator or a similar role
  • Proficiency in SAP system installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Expertise in database management, preferably with Oracle or SQL Server
  • Knowledge of ABAP programming language
  • Strong understanding of system monitoring tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system and performance issues
  • Experience with SAP security and user administration
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of system backup and recovery procedures
  • Understanding of system testing and implementation best practices
  • Certifications in SAP Basis administration is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
