Initially 9 months full time contract and will become permanent, starting ASAP. Open for discussion on the compensation.

Location:

-For interim role, anywhere across Germany as long as you are willing to travel and stay in Dusseldorf for 3 days every other week, work from home for the rest of the time. Travel and hotel expenses will be covered.

-For Permanent role, based in or near Berlin or Dusseldorf area.

Our client is a well-known international retailer with revenues in excess of €6 Billion per year, over 1500 stores across Europe and 30,000 staff globally. They are a forward-thinking company in the retail Industry that is dedicated to revolutionizing their operations. As they embark on an ambitious journey to replace legacy systems and enhance their retail capabilities, they are seeking an experienced Head of Centre of Excellence to drive their SAP initiatives.

Position Overview:

Pivotal role in shaping our future by leading the transformation of our retail operations through SAP technologies. Building capabilities, driving agility, providing strategic direction, and working closely with the leadership team to achieve our objectives. Your experience in SAP implementation within the retail sector will be crucial in modernizing our systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage 7 direct reports and indirectly manage a team of 35;

-Provide strong leadership on setting up a new digital centre of excellence in Romaina next and building a new team;

-Develop and nurture a high-performing team of SAP experts;

-Facilitate the adoption of agile methodologies;

-Set the strategic direction for SAP initiatives. Collaborate with leadership to ensure integration of SAP strategies into the roadmap.

-Drive the planning and execution of the replacement of legacy systems with modern SAP solutions

-Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure successful implementation of SAP projects

Qualifications and Experience:

•10 years of experience in leading SAP or digital centre of excellence implementation projects ideally within the retail or fashion or supply chain sector.

• Proven track record of leading and building cross-functional and high performing teams in an agile environment.

• Extensive knowledge of SAP systems and modules relevant to the retail sector, including experience with legacy system replacement.

• Strong project and change management skills, including budget management and resource allocation.

• SAP certifications and relevant agile certifications are advantageous.

• Willing to travel and stay in Dusseldorf for 3 days every other week
