The formal job description will be coming soon and will replace this notice. However, we are looking for a Lab manager at our facility in Coquitlam. This lab processes ~20,000 samples per month using a variety of technologies including uHPLC, LCMS, ICPMS, Spectrometric techniques, etc.,
Responsibilities
You will be managing a team of 27 and will be responsible for scheduling, work assignments and quality review, OOS invesdtigations and related. In addition, the lab manager will interface with company management to ensure test results are geneated as efficiently as possible.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced analytical chemist with significant experince leading a team. Knowledge of working in an ISO 17025 accrediated laboratory management and/or a lab with DEL designation would be advantageous. We are also looking for people experienced in method development, analytical trouble shooting and related skill sets. Ideally the candidate would have an M.Sc., or above with lab management experience, although a B.Sc., with signiifcant experince would also be acceptable.
