Our client is currently in search of a seasoned full-time Project Manager for their K-12 Sector, based at their DC Metro office. This role entails serving as a design leader and essential team member. Project Managers are deeply involved in all stages of project development, providing guidance to colleagues and consultants across various levels to ensure the project aligns with plans, budgets, and schedules. Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or construction, with a focus on K-12, Higher Education, Senior Living or other public sector projects.
  • Architectural license is advantageous.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead design teams from conceptual sketches to construction documents, emphasizing collaboration, proactivity, and attention to detail.
  • Interpret and implement relevant building codes.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of interns and team members.
  • Maintain consistent and timely communication of project details between clients and the project team.
  • Generate aesthetically pleasing designs.
  • Assist in construction administration through site visits.
  • Cultivate positive professional relationships among clients and team members.
  • Contribute to client presentations.
  • Cultivate and nurture positive relationships with clients and consultants.


Required Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate within a team to meet specific deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Diligence in progress monitoring and problem identification.
  • Perseverance in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and LEED guidelines.
  • Understanding of quality control processes.
  • Effective communication skills for presentations.
  • Solid grasp of design trends, construction methods, and material applications.


Software Proficiencies:

  • Autodesk Revit (BIM)
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Microsoft Office Suite
