Summary

The LA Managed Services team is looking for an exceptional Production Designer. In this role you will be creating a variety of digital assets used to engage and attract consumers on a high profile technology client’s application. This is a position dedicated to supporting a design team (production lead, designers, and design leads) with technical contributions that include markups,

audits, and asset creation. It requires collaborating with teams across the specific business unit as well as with teams from separate business units, so flexibility and professional communication are a must. It takes multi-tasking within a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.

This is a remote, work from home position. It is a 12-month contract, with the possibility of conversion to full-time work at the end of the contract portion.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver proper specification handoffs across media types, devices, formats and technologies;
  • Conduct quality assurance on engineered builds to ensure they match the original designs across multiple devices (phones, tablets and desktop)
  • Also checking live use of finalized templates to validate that proposed design visions are executed correctly and subsequent incremental changes are properly incorporated;
  • Devise solutions to solve technical and design challenges for different file formats and deliveries (from static to live data);
  • Build and maintain templates and tools using Sketch and Box file systems;
  • Work on ad-hoc projects such as social media template design, newsletters, corporate show reels and wall art, animation and illustration delivery, etc

The ideal candidate is:

  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with a natural inclination to recognize stylistic inconsistencies
  • Full of technical chops and experience (we aren’t looking for someone to “learn on the job“)
  • Eager to embrace the confluence of editorial content with the application’s latest features and technologies
  • Able to take on systems-thinking to help understand and organize designs
  • Adaptable with a positive attitude towards constantly changing information and standards.

Requirements:

  • Portfolio demonstrating design work
  • 5 years of experience in production design and graphic design
  • Expert Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Proficiency in After Effects or Premier, Sketch, and Keynote

The Pay:

  • The starting base compensation range for this position in the selected city is $38-$55 hourly. Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to the individual experience, expertise, location, and education.

  • Ability to distinguish colors accurately for design and composition

Fine Motor Skills:

  • Precise motor skills required for detailed graphic composition and retouching

Communication:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and art reviews
